Growing Season Report 2009

Despite 44 mph wind gusts on June 4, the growing season followed a 'typical' pattern according to Vineyard Manage Rebecca Sweet. Following budbreak the week of April 22, the vines weathered the spring in good form, reaching a good set in late June.

2009 A Hands On Harvest in Photos

Warm daytime temperatures averaging 84 degrees followed by cool evenings averaging 50 degrees prevailed during a 15 day picking schedule. The winemaking team of winemaker, assistant winemaker and vineyard manager kept tabs on the sugar and flavor development in each vineyard block, directing the harvest activity systematically from block to block.
